Christmas Closing and Opening dates

We have just been contacted by Bay Venues to say that they intend to re-roof the Mount Sports Stadium over the Xmas period.

This means we will have to have our last Club night on Wednesday 10th December, and our opening night on Wednesday 4th February - a longer Xmas break than we normally have. However, it does give us certainty of tenure at the Stadium for the foreseeable future whilst we wait for the new dedicated facility to be built.

As is traditional, President Vincent will provide some catering from his restaurant (Rice Rice Baby) for the final night of the year. We will finish playing at 8.00pm so that we can partake in the feast. Bring your own drinks and something sweet for after if you like.

Finally, and as forecast at this years AGM, we will be raising the fees for next year. It is proposed (to be ratified at the AGM in February) to put the fees up by 20%, a significant increase but it is five years since they were last put up. It is also pertinent to know that our costs have increased significantly over the last three years - shuttles by 37%, hall hire by 61% and the BoP levy by 65%.

For 2026 the full year subs will be $180, Concession Cards will be $75, and Casual fees will be $10 per night. This works out at around $4 per night for Members, $7.50 per night for Concession Card holders and $10 per night for Casuals.
